About the role

RCOG Events is undergoing an exciting period of transformational change. We are bringing our flagship World Congress in-house and have recently established a new Events Board to shape the strategic direction of our courses, workshops, meetings and congress portfolio, aligned to our new five-year corporate strategy.

We are seeking a Content and Programme Lead to shape and curate the academic and scientific content across our conferences and meetings portfolio, including our flagship World Congress. This is a key role at the heart of our events team, responsible for ensuring our programmes reflect the latest clinical developments, educational best practice, and the evolving needs of a global audience.

You will work closely with clinical leaders, subject matter experts, and internal teams to design engaging, relevant, and innovative programmes. Combining creativity with strong organisational and stakeholder management skills, you will help ensure our events continue to deliver impactful learning experiences and maintain RCOG’s position as a global leader in women’s health education.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about content, education, and events, and who thrives on bringing together people, ideas, and innovation to deliver high-quality programmes.

This is a unique opportunity to lead lasting change while delivering high-quality events that directly contribute to improving healthcare for women and girls worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and curation of academic and scientific programmes across the RCOG events portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and audience needs.

  • Collaborate with clinical leads, subject matter experts, and programme committees to identify themes, topics, and speakers.

  • Manage speaker and faculty engagement, ensuring timely communication, briefing, and alignment of session content.

  • Drive innovation in programme design, introducing engaging and interactive formats across face-to-face, virtual, and hybrid events.

  • Work closely with Marketing and Communications to develop compelling, content-led campaigns and event narratives.

  • Use audience insight and feedback to continuously improve programme quality, relevance, and impact.

  • Support the planning and delivery of the RCOG World Congress, ensuring high-quality, globally relevant content.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys shaping content, working with experts, and delivering programmes that make a real difference to professional learning and global healthcare outcomes.
